BRANCHES CAMP

In late 1967, a group of students and teachers from Wakatipu High School headed out to Branches Station for a geography camp; and so began a tradition that has been maintained to this very day. Of course things have changed from those early days and there is now more of everything.

OUR MISSION

The Branches Charitable Trust was formed in July 2009 by a group of local people concerned with the escalating costs of the Branches Camp due to the need to use professionals with outdoor expertise. Their wish was to keep the camp affordable for families ...

OUR BOOK

Long Drops and Hard Knocks is a book celebrating fifty years of a remarkable annual event – a school camp. But it’s no ordinary camp and this story is packed with adventure, laughter, drama, danger and intrigue.
